AwareFlow is designed to function without collecting or storing sensitive personal data.

• No audio recordings
• No conversations or speech content
• No personal identifiers (such as name or contacts)
• No advertising or tracking data

Audio is analyzed in real time and immediately discarded.

What Stays on Your Device

To provide awareness features, AwareFlow processes a small amount of information locally on your iPhone.

• Sound patterns

  Short signals used to detect habits. They are not recorded or stored.

• Habit events

  Simple markers such as “a sniff occurred at a specific time.”

• Reflections and notes

  Anything you choose to enter, such as feelings or journal entries.

This information remains on your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.

How Data Is Used

Data is used only to support your awareness experience.

• Provide real-time habit awareness
• Generate summaries and trends
• Display your history and reflections

It is not used for advertising, profiling, or tracking.

Sharing

AwareFlow does not sell or share your personal data.

Limited sharing may occur only in specific cases:

• Optional research participation

  If you choose to share anonymized data, it is voluntary and clearly explained.

• Apple services

  Some features may use Apple infrastructure (such as CloudKit), subject to Apple’s privacy standards.

No audio is ever shared.

Permissions

AwareFlow requests permissions only when required.

• Microphone

  Used to detect sound patterns. Audio is not recorded or stored.

• Notifications

  Used to deliver private, gentle nudges.

You can change permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

Retention

Data exists only on your device.

• Habit events and reflections remain until you delete them
• Audio is never stored

Deleting the app removes all associated data.

Your Control

You remain in control of your information at all times.

• Pause or stop awareness
• Clear your history
• Adjust permissions in iOS Settings
• Delete the app to remove all data

Third-Party Services

AwareFlow minimizes reliance on external services.

Where Apple services are used, they operate under Apple’s privacy policies.

Children’s Privacy

AwareFlow is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the app evolves.

Updates will be reflected on this page with a revised date.
